Staying here while visiting Akureyri was a pleasant experience overall. The shared kitchen was a handy feature, allowing for some meals to be prepared and enjoyed with other travelers. I appreciated how convenient it was to explore the nearby attractions like the Hof Cultural and Conference Center and the Akureyri Botanical Garden, both just a short walk away. there was no elevator, which made carrying luggage to the upper floors a bit of a task.

The kitchen and lounge area on the top floor allowed for a nice communal experience, and the views from the balcony were a delightful bonus. the room felt sparse, with limited furnishings, and the lack of an elevator made getting to the upper floors a bit inconvenient. the absence of included breakfast was a missed opportunity, even though it was available for an extra charge.

Charming Stay in the Heart of Town
I appreciated the spacious, clean room and the fully equipped kitchen available. The balcony view was a delightful surprise! the steep stairs could be challenging for some guests. Be prepared to book extra nights online if you don’t see staff around. A lovely place overall.

Apotek Guesthouse is in a prime location, making it super easy to explore Akureyri. The room was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed. We loved the shared kitchen on the top floor. it was well-equipped and had a great balcony for enjoying views while relaxing. The friendly staff provided helpful recommendations, which made our time even better!
